Center for Wellness Research and Education

The 3D Group is working with Nancy Fey-Yensan, Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at URI to develop and maintain a website for the new "Center for Wellness Research and Education" (CWRE).

The Center concept grew from Rhode Island Gov. Donald Carcieri's wellness initiative for state employees, Get Fit Rhode Island, which was launched in 2005 and included a subcommittee of URI and Brown University health researchers. The overall Mission of the CWRE is to support the collaborative efforts of URI faculty, staff and students in advancing interdisciplinary health and wellness research, teaching and outreach, with the primary goal of improving the health status of all Rhode Islanders.

Student Help

The CWRE website project will allow students to develop skills in professional web design using xhtml, css and 2D image processing for the web as well as future opportunities for multimedia production of 2D and 3D animation, video production and editing.
